A Moment of Crisis.

A Call to Act.

Waves of disinvestment, political backlash, and philanthropic retrenchment are threatening the people and projects that protect tribal sovereignty, self-determination, and make cultural continuity possible.

Artists, organizers, educators, and policy advocates, especially those serving Indigenous communities or whose work is focused on sovereignty and self-determination, are losing jobs, programs, and platforms. The Sovereign Futures Talent Network responds with a simple truth: we can’t afford to let their brilliance leave the sector. The network will protect their leadership, connect them to professional opportunities, and help communities weather this storm and build what comes next.

The Sovereign Futures Talent Network was created to ensure individuals advancing Indigenous Sovereignty, Self-Determination, and Justice, Land Stewardship and Reclamation, Indigenous Cultural Revitalization can remain resourced in this work and continue shaping our collective future.

While we are excited to offer this resource, the Sovereign Futures Talent Network is an emerging and evolving rapid-response initiative. As we grow and learn, capacity may be limited and offerings may change.

Digital Directory

Applicants join a growing digital directory of practitioners with deep, specialized skills needed to nurture, sustain, and advance movements. Talent network members bring diverse and unique experience in movement-aligned fields such as facilitation, land-based practice, research and data decolonization, community organizing, narrative transformation, and more.

Each member has an in-depth professional profile within the digital directory, created during the application process. These profiles support an internal referral system designed to uplift each member’s strengths, skills, and preferences - ensuring alignment between members and the opportunities they are connected to.

We are actively building partnerships to connect our members with employment and contract opportunities. If you’re interested in collaborating or learning more, visit our Find Talent page.
